Car park systems

Today’s car parks must be extremely durable and robust so that their use is guaranteed for many years. Due to the daily exposure, car park and parking deck surfaces are subject to heavy, thermal and chemical loads which wear out and eventaully become damaged or destroyed over time. The loads are caused by, among other things, the penetration of water and, in winter, de-icing salts. In addition, the vehicles also increase the CO₂ concentration due to their exhaust gases. When concretes surfaces are driven over, vibrations are created leading to fine cracks. This allows pollutants to penetrate more easily and create faster damage to the reinforcement steel and concrete.
We supply tested and long-standing, proven surface protection systems for this extreme usage. Our systems are not just used in new construction buildings, but also for restoration and repair projects where they are often the most sustainable solution for protecting the concrete structure. Floor coats made of polyurethane and epoxy resin have long since become state-of-the-art in industrial operations, in particular thanks to their high loading capacity and time-efficient installation. Today, the extremely resistant floors are used in commercial, public and private buildings, because many of these new areas of application profit from the decorative components of a decorative floor. They can be customized in detail with respect to colour and structure. The floor systems offer totally new, unprecedented design possibilities for architects, contractors and clients.
In commercial spaces, e.g. food outlets and fashion boutiques, and in representative areas such as offices, conference rooms and foyers, a decorative floor system creates a pleasant work and feel-good atmosphere by means of optimum walking comfort, improved slip-resistance, and good cleaning properties.

Our floor coverings are solvent-free and physiologically safe after curing. The suitability as an application for seamless floors in the food industry and in car parks have been tested and confirmed by external institutes. The systems are distinguished thanks to their high mechanical and good chemical resistance.
Efficient systems can be created from a combination of special epoxy resin binding agents and fillers that are suitable for various application areas. Flexible and safe at the same time - Crete PU-concrete is the perfect combination of water basedd polyol emulsion and polyurethane binding agent made of polymer MDI. This makes the floor extremely resistant to thermal, chemical and mechanical loads.
But even where there are no high mechanical requirements, the product range with its unique sealants offers a variety of possibilities to meet the requirements of "decorative and slip-resistant" flooring.

Water vapour permeable floors
Systems to protect against rising damp and heavy loads
Breathable floor coatings have a long tradition at Remmers. For more than 20 years, we have championed the development of low-emission and AgBB-tested waterbased epoxy systems. In particular, thanks to their solvent-free ad plasticiser-free product components, waterbased coating systems provide a pleasant climate during processing and subsequent use.
This group of products can also be used safely on critical substrates e.g. calcium sulphate screed; magnesite screed and concrete that is in contact with the ground, so that there are no problems with the so-called osmotic blistering as a result of the water vapour diffusibility.
Increasingly water emulsifiable epoxy resins are being used in underground car parks where diffusion capability and resistance are important issues. These systems have also been tested by Remmers as an OS 8 surface protection system.

A floor should not only be able to withstand rising damp or heavy loads, but also present no harm to the air quality in the room. The emission of volatile organic compounds (VOC) can contaminate the room air and be harmful to health. To eliminate this, we offer a complete VOC-tested product range that corresponds to the stringent criteria of the AgBB. The entire coating structure is assessed by the independent and accredited testing institutes in test chambers, and checked in annual random checks.
Our systems not only waterbased coatings, we also have a large range of polyurethane and epoxy-resin coatings which also have a general technical approval. This increases the flexibility even in the planning phase so that all requirements can be taken into account and the building owner receives the system best suited for their needs.
Sustainability - the simple maintenance, lower material consumption and durability contribute to the positive ecological footprint of an industrial floor. Thanks to these properties they have a much lower impact on the environment than many other covering types. Corresponding national and international declarations of conformity (e.g. DGNB / LEED certificates) give users and investors assurance with regard to sustainability.

Balconies and patios are very popular in the summer; and to ensure that these areas are not spoiled by repair work, they are usually repaired in autumn or spring.
This requires suitable systems that give the owner and professional a good feeling so that the work can be completed even in poor weather. This specified flexibility is provided by e.g. the Quick-Protect-System. It stands out thanks to its processing time which gives the user the possibility to process details on a balcony carefully and calmly. Despite this, the system can be walked across or coated over within 2 hours under normal temperatures. The Quick-Protect-System also offers additional acceleration that gives the advantage of fast full hardening even if there is a threat of rain or cold seasons (0 - 3 °C).
